Once again this year, Benefit Commerce Group was a proud sponsor of the Silent Auction for the Fiesta de los Bomberos.
The Fiesta, which was held September 17-18, is a fundraiser for the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation (GTFF) and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The GTFF is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization that was formed to assess and respond to the unmet health and safety needs of the more than 1,800 firefighters currently serving throughout Southern Arizona.
This was the 15th year for these organizations to serve and support these firefighters. The Annual Fiesta de los Bomberos – Feast & Fairways Event was held at the J. W. Marriott Tucson Starr Pass in Tucson, AZ.
The focus of the fundraising event is to provide services for firefighters who need cancer, cardiac and mental health support and the families of firefighters. BCG is proud to support this group!
Over the years, this organization has raised more than $500,000 for programs and services that benefit our firefighters and families!
We know that the families of firefighters also make huge sacrifices. At this year’s event, representatives from the families of four Tucson firefighters/EMT staff who were lost in the past year had an opportunity to honor their loved ones.
Moments of silence honored those fallen as well as, on a larger scale, the firefighters lost as a result of our nation’s 9/11 tragedy 20 years ago.
