Our Drive Helps Stock Food Pantries

Did you know that food pantry donations start to decline in the spring?  Why is this? It’s because people tend to focus on food banks during the holidays, but people need help year-round.

Nationally, food insecurity in 2020 increased dramatically because of COVID-19.  These reasons combined make this the perfect time of year to hold food drives.

BCG conducted a food drive through March 15th for St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix.

Did you know that St. Mary’s distributes food to hundreds of nonprofits, which includes food pantries, dining halls, & homeless shelters?  They also help fill backpacks for kids so no kid has to go hungry. Donations, no matter the size, go a long way in helping to end hunger for many in Arizona.

If you’d like to join us, donating is easy!  You can drop off your donation to any Goodwill location or you can drop them off at one of the two St. Mary’s facilities found HERE.
