Cancer Walk in Memory of Amy Klawitter

We formed a team in memory Amy Klawitter, our colleague and friend who we recently lost to cancer, for the American Cancer Society’s Climb to Conquer Cancer of Phoenix. The event was held on Saturday, February 26th, and we wanted to share with you a photo of some of those who walked with us.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED OR DONATED!!

Amy was an extraordinary person—strong, energetic, determined, with a wonderful zest for life. For all who knew her, she was a vibrant force of nature and life. We want to remember her always, and we honored her memory through this walk for the American Cancer Society.

In addition to Amy, cancer has touched other family and friends of all of us. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. This event honored Amy but also all the other lives lost to cancer. The purpose of the event also was to celebrate survivors and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

The money raised by our team helps the American Cancer Society in so many ways. It’s helping fund innovative research. It’s providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives.

We raised over $6,000 in just a few days. If you would still like to donate, you may do so at the website:

Together, we’ll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
