Accelerent Breakfast: ‘Attitude Over Everything’ – Aaron Davis

“We are more connected right now than at any time in history, but we are in many ways more disconnected than ever,” Aaron Davis told the 300+ attendees at this morning’s Accelerent/BCG Breakfast Event at Warehouse215. “Negative people with negative attitudes are very influential. Guard your circle.”

Aaron Davis is an author, coach, trainer, and attitude expert. He brought his experience as a former national champion football player and cancer survivor to teach other business leaders about the positive impact their attitudes can have in their work and personal life.

In a very positive and upbeat manner, Aaron shared lessons from his own upbringing and the tools he learned along the way that helped him to shift his perspective. In his presentations, he encourages individuals to do better in their lives both professionally and personally by stressing an “Attitude Over Everything” mindset.

Accelerent—Phoenix

Lessons Learned from Aaron

  • Life and work are about relationships, not transactions.
  • Champions understand that resilience is the key to success. Keep going.
  • Champions keep perspective. When his parents’ house was on fire, his mother looked at him and said, “At least we got rid of the water bugs.”
  • Even when you’re faced with adversity, you keep going.
  • In business, there are learners and there are knowers. The learners become problem solvers; they know about their clients. The knowers function in a world that no longer exists.
  • Don’t let what’s happening out there control what’s happening inside you. Control your mind.
  • Purpose is the reason you journey. Passion is the fire that lights your way. If you don’t like what you do, find something else.
  • 86,400 seconds in a day. Make sure they count!
  • If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to take time for your illness.
