A Packed House at Phoenix Raceway: Accelerent Phoenix Breakfast Delivers Insight on Mindset, Momentum and the Power of Team
April 10, 2026
Business leaders, entrepreneurs and executives gathered this morning at Phoenix Raceway for another inspiring Accelerent Phoenix Breakfast, where attendees heard a powerful keynote from Arie Luyendyk Sr., two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, and opening remarks from Chris Hogan, Alera Group, Executive Vice President & Principal.
Next Chapter for BCG: Alera Group Rebrand
Alera Group - Arizona, formerly Benefit Commerce Group (BCG), is proud to serve as the Title Sponsor of Accelerent Phoenix and to continue supporting a business community built on relationships, leadership, and growth.
Chris Hogan opened the morning by sharing the continued brand transition from BCG to Alera Group. His remarks reinforced that while the name has evolved, the strength of the local team, the relationships built in Arizona, and the spirit that has defined the organization for years remain unchanged.
The message was clear: this next chapter brings together the scale and resources of a national firm with the same trusted Arizona team and local soul that clients, partners and the community have long known. It is the best of both worlds, broader capabilities and deeper specialization, delivered through the relationships and responsiveness of a local team.
That theme carried naturally into the morning’s keynote.
Keynote: Arie Luyendyk Sr. on Winning, Focus, Resilience and Team
Drawing from his legendary racing career and years of experience in business, Arie Luyendyk Sr. shared lessons on focus, resilience, mindset and what it really takes to perform at the highest level.
One of the themes of the morning was that success is not built on drive alone. It requires the right support system, the right people, and the discipline to keep moving when challenges arise. His message made clear that performing at the highest level is not just about ambition; it is about staying focused, responding well under pressure, and continuing to move forward when conditions are not ideal.
As Luyendyk put it, “You can have all the will to win in the world, but if your car isn’t really working, you’re not going to win.”
He went on to explain that high performance, whether in racing or in business, is never a solo act.
“To be successful, you have to surround yourself with the right people.”
In a competitive business environment, success depends not only on vision and effort, but also on having the right partners, teammates and support around you.
Luyendyk emphasized that no individual can carry an organization alone.
“You can’t carry the business on your own shoulders.”
Another standout message focused on humility and perspective. Even in a sport where the driver is alone in the car, Luyendyk made it clear that success is always shaped by the people behind the scenes.
For business leaders in the room, the parallels were immediate. The morning served as a reminder that resilience matters most when things are not easy, that confidence must be paired with realism, and that sustainable success is built by teams that are focused, aligned and committed to a common goal.
A Strong Partnership with Accelerent Phoenix
Events like this are one of the many reasons Alera Group - Arizona is proud to support Accelerent Phoenix as Title Sponsor.
