COBRA Clean-Up Saves the Day

The Challenge:
Several employers had COBRA administrators who were not verifying that insurance carriers received the COBRA elections that were sent to them. In numerous cases, the insurance carriers didn't receive or properly process COBRA elections. Subsequently, members were told they were "not enrolled in COBRA" when they tried to use their coverage.

The Solution:

Working directly with the insurance carriers, we explained the problem so COBRA enrollments were corrected. We proceeded to audit all terminated employees for each employer to ensure accuracy.

The Results:

We saved the employers money on incorrect enrollments. No members had interruptions in their coverage. The employers' HR teams did not have to deal with this themselves.
